Eric Meyer wants to see the W3C run on an endowment instead of membership fees. What do I think? I like the plan a lot.

Sounds good in many ways. I'd like to hear opposing opinions though, to get a sense of the cons as well as the pros.

I like Eric Meyers, I have a couple of his books on CSS and you can tell how serious he is about the W3C. I do like his plan and hope the people in power take notice, as Meyers is someone worthy of noticing on this issue.
