Great article and very thought provoking. Indeed there is pros and cons for both control and chaos. I would like to see sites that have a good blend of both. Too much control can potential turn users away if it is control by dictatorship. Too much chaos will also turn users away. It's a delicate balancing act but the sites that get it right will be the ones that succeed.
