I have been watching this more closely today as it as unfolding. It still amazes me that even no plan was agreed upon, there is still controversy of speculation, and blame over what might have been said. All that aside I hope that a bipartisan agreement came be made so that there no blame or bragging rights for either party at whatever the result may be. And if the taxpayers are called to order we should have benefit with our investment. I do like how people are saying "IF this bailout works".

The language used to encourage the bailout by politicians may have had the unintended consequence of crashing the market.

McCain won the debate hands down.  He knew what he was talking about and Obama gave the same old thing that he has been saying from the beginning.   We do not need health insurance that the government controls and if people would go back to 2006, they would see how strong things were under the Bush administration until the Democrats took over in congress.    If Obama is elected, watch out.  You just think times are bad now.  Open you eyes people.   This has nothing to do with race.  One of the best friends that I have ever had was a black person, but I think Obama should play on his white heritage also.  After all he is half white.  His associations with all the radicals is a very big concern and who know what else will come out before Nov. 4.  We should be down on our knees praying that John McCain gets elected.  He wasn't my first choice, but he is the lesser of the two evils that people want to think that we have running.

Jan your post supporting McCain is one of the best argument's for electing Obama that I have read. Thank you.

lucky dog, apparently you are one of the rich democrats.  As far as the economy goes, I lost my job after Clinton signed the NAAAFTA ACT.  Things have gone from bad to worse ever since.  Do a little research on the democratic Congress members such as Barney Frank, Dodd, Nancy Pelosi and others and see what led to the economic crisis that is taking place today.  I hope you are ready to meet your maker, because according to the Bible we are in the end times and if Obama is elected, that will just drive it home more.  Have a nice day.

Go back Jan before Clinton to Bush I and Reagan. That was when I lost a great job that I had had for 12 years thanks to "deregulation". I think their is plenty of blame to go around Jan but I will also point out that Bush has vetoed every bill he didn't like for the last 2 years and the previous 6 years when the Republicans were in charge they got virtually everything they wanted so why didn't they fix the problems? In my view the current bailout is simply an attempt to kick the can down the road to the next president.

You must be reading a different bible that the one I read because I see no more turmoil in the world than we ever have had. Every generation has thought they were in the "end times."
